We also make our floats partially aluminium - the frame and chassis are still steel for strength and flexibility, but the outside sheeting/cladding is aluminium, thicker aluminium and same strength as steel and still corrugated for strength where the horses are. By having the sheeting aluminium, we are lessoning the weight and also eliminating rust forever as aluminium does not rust. Basically, everything that is non-structural is now aluminium.

Plus, the benefit for the horses is that it is actually cooler inside the float than your standard steel float. Steel absorbs heat and retains is so it stays hot for longer inside the float BUT aluminium dissipates heat leaving the float walls cool to touch which in turn makes it cool inside the float. Its a win for both human and horses so to speak.

Horse Float Lighting:
2 x sets of Rear LED Lights -2 x Red Brake Light, 2 x Amber Indicator Lights and 1 x Reverse Light,  6 Side Amber Lights, 8 Retro Reflectors. Internal 12v LED lights - one above front entry door and 2nd at rear of float for nighttime loading.

Horse Float Tailgate:
None slip rubber floor matting on tailgate ....fully sealed and waterproof, None slip rubber matting for ramp door with extra footing support with horizontal mounded rubber panels, also Rubber matting on side panels to kick and paw boards.

Horse Float Reinforced Chassis: 

We install a safety feature in all our floats so that no horses can ever go through the float of a Gladiator float.

A 4mm thick aluminium plate/sheet gets installed on top of the chassis.

First you have the already reinforced chassis which we use square tubing, not angle bar, across the width of the float along the whole length of the float at 500mm apart. Then we use angle bar lengthways to brace everything together and it becomes like a chessboard. Then we install the 4mm thick aluminium plate on top and then 22mm honeycomb flooring and then the nonslip rubber and t is all glued down so that the float becomes waterproof and you can wash it out - the more the better. The layering of the different materials also can help eliminate road noise.

This is now a super strong floor guaranteed that your horses will never go through the floor of a Gladiator Float !

Horse Float :
Cupboards /tack cupboard in cone of float with 2 saddle racks and additional external access door, Side tack box on mudguard or upright at rear of float. Padded side Long Storage boxes off side of float wall to bring horses off the wall.
